She had had Bells palsy before and it was temporary, so I am hoping it is something similar that will get better soon. Ben is researching like crazy and hopefully the docs can get this figured out. Her poor little body.

I just talked to Ben and got a little further clarification. The entire left side of Ilana's body is experiencing paralysis. So her eye is not producing tears, so they put a patch on it. Enough of the epiglottis is affected that she is not able to swallow. And she is having a hard time breathing because one lung isn't functioning as well and filling with a little fluid. I sure hope I am not messing up these details.
